CR Initiatives at Ngenox

Social values indicate how we relate meaningfully to others in social situations, including those involving family, friends and co-workers.

Ngenox believes that its organizational values need to meet society’s expectations/standards with regard to Safety, Health, Environmental stewardship, social responsibility and that there is a moral obligation to protect our employees, our neighbors and the environment.

We as an organization are committed to attaining excellence in Safety, Health, & Environmental performance. Our business aligned social value improves motivation, loyalty, skill development, and even product differentiation & most importantly customer centricity both internal & external.
We drive this value diligently to create an organizational culture to achieve success in a humane and a unique way.

Some of our CR initiatives:
20th December, 2007 marked the 3rd Annual Day celebration of Ngenox. It was an occasion as the team decided to uphold their core value, ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’ and pledged to support the cause of ‘Girl Child’ and the ‘Green Drive’.

Ngenox adopted seven ‘Girl Childs’ aged between 9 and 13 years of the NGO Guru Nanak Sewa Sansthan. The employees donated their one day salaries towards this noble cause other than non cash donations.

Mr. Roy, Director, Ngenox assured that the organization will continue its philanthropic endeavors in future.

This was followed by the ‘Green Drive’ at NGO premise and Vipul Plaza complex, where the team planted saplings and is nurturing them.

This was done keeping in mind “Sustainability” so that we save for the future generations and take a small step from preventing Gurgaon becoming a barren land.

Other than this Ngenox has taken several initiatives to embrace CR.

1. Ngenox is BSI certified to ISO 14001:2004 and diligently focuses on:
  • Waste Reduction, Recycling, Reuse and Energy Conservation.
  • ‘Group pick and drops’, which has positively impacted the environment and cost as it reduces pollution and the mental strain of driving and improves optimal utilisation.
  • Ergonomics is given importance and the employees are trained on the same.
  • Food and paper wastage is minimised and targets defined for the responsible teams.
2. Employee Health and Safety

Ergonomics play a vital role when we talk about health and safety of employees.
  • Regular trainings are conducted to make employees aware of posture while working, identifying symptoms of occupational hazards and reporting them, and exercises they can do prevent themselves from occupational hazards.
  • We provide our employees a healthy and safe work place which enables them to deliver superior quality and improved productivity.
  • Safety equipment including but not limited fire fighting systems are audited regularly; air quality is maintained and transport vehicles and team are audited periodically to ensure compliance to health and safety standards
  • Community Awareness is given importance and employees trained on the same.
3. KPI’S pertaining to CR identified
  • Each team carries KPIs aligned to Corporate Responsibility
  • Key Performance Indicators include the Environmental, Health and Safety objectives such as reduction in electricity consumption and reduction in paper consumption.
  • Supplier selection is done through a defined process and care taken to ensure they comply with EHS standards. Suppliers are rated on he same twice a year.
4. Training and Awareness programmes
  •  CR training forms a part of Induction training, which creates a perception of environment conservation and safe working in the mind of the employees. Also the ‘Value System’ training, including ‘Social Responsibility’ creates the organizational and the community oriented mindset of the new joinees.
  •  Recursive Training – Recursive trainings are provided to reinforce EHS needs and maintain employee awareness levels on corporate responsibility. Training records are maintained and effectiveness measured at periodic intervals.
  • Awareness levels are maintained for procurement, governance, leadership, environment and Health & Safety).

5. Software

We are developing software targeting energy management and green house gas emissions.

Ecofice
– the eco footprint advisor is a software application tool designed to provide solution for measurement and analysis of Green House Gas (GHG) emissions in construction activities and building services. This utilizes data captured through user definable; web formats on one hand and real time information through an online monitoring system for calculation of GHG. This would indicate GHG emissions during construction and building operation services. The inbuilt intelligence of the software can identify any deviation from defined parameter values and alert the users of the anomalies. Ecofice can generate specific business level information to present relevant SH+E measurement indexes applicable to construction and building services industry. Ecofice can also be managed online through Monitoring and Response Center of Vipul Laing O’Rourke in India to provide real time analysis of the GHG data.

Nergy – the Nergy energy analyzer is a software application tool designed for energy analysis and reporting services. It is a web application and can be accessed from any where using internet. Nergy acts as an interface for energy monitoring and analysis. Nergy software fetches the data from the real time archived data-base of various parameters for analysis. As an alternate option, Nergy software can also be implemented when there is no integration of energy meters with BMS system. In such circumstances, user can enter the energy data manually to create energy reports and Dash-Board.
